Imphal, April 26 2021:
The State Health Department has urged all Deputy Commissioners to immediately request reputed CSOs, organisations, Church/religious organisations, to disseminate the instructions provided by the Government to ensure Covid appropriate behaviour.
Key points of the order issued by the Government include - Night curfew from 7 pm to 5 am everyday with specific exemptions for emergency /priority categories; ban on all gathering, except unavoidable gathering for religious rituals/ceremonies, limited to 20 persons; closure of Ima Keithel and adjourning temporary market for ten days; shops in Thangal Bazar and Paona Bazar to be opened at the rate of one in three shops on rotation.
DCs and SPs of other districts should immediately evaluate and issue suitable restriction order on the pattern of opening; all public transport vehicles to carry passengers upto maximum half capacity and ensure all passengers wear face mask.
It stated that instructions issued by the State Government are not fully complied at various locations and laxity in compliance would cause great risk of uncontrolled spread of COVID-19 .
The Deputy Secretary further informed that a District Level Awareness & Monitoring Team would be constituted consisting of suitable District Level Officers (DLOs) of different departments.
