School Management condemns transfer of teacher

Management Committee of Ithai Khunou High School, Kumbi AC, Bishnupur district and Ithai Modern Civilization Club decried the transfer and posting of one utilization English Graduate teacher K Gopeshwar Sharma to Malom Megha High School.
The order to transfer the said teacher when the school was marred by limited number of teachers is very inappropriate, they added and informed that Ithai Khunou High School was upgraded from Junior High School in 2010 under RMSA but the appropriate infrastructure and development was not seen till date which is the requirement for being a high school except the new six rooms building constructed under RMSA in 2012.They further said that the said school presently employed 14 teachers out of the required 24 teachers and that too reduced to 13 teachers after the transfer of one utilized teacher.
Earlier, around 700/800 students used to study in said school but their numbers has reduced drastically due to lack of infrastructure and non-availability of concerned subject teacher, they said and added that the school management face difficulties to provide the Mid Day meal to the students as there is no proper kitchen in the school campus even though the Work Order to build the same was issued much earlier.
The school even lack the basic infrastructure including the toilet and the fencing, said the school management committee and added that the students face difficulties while attending the class due to leaking roof.
Convenor School Management Committee Huidrom Ibohal Meitei also strongly condemned the transfer of teacher and drew the attention of the authority concerned to revoke the transfer order in the interest of the students in particular and the school in general.
