Senapati, June 03 2021:
PHE minister Losii Dikho continues to win hearts with his humanitarian gestures towards the people especially those living in remote areas of Senapati district.
The two-time MLA from Mao assembly constituency has been spending all resources to reach out to the people in villages within the assembly segment as well as the district during these testing times of Covid-19 pandemic.
The minister recently donated monetary aid for installing an Operation Theatre for Covid-19 positive pregnant women at District Hospital, Senapati which became operational from May 31 .
In another instance, on June 1, the minister who could not reach Laii PHC for delivery of oxygen concentrators, oximeters and Covid-19 medical items due to poor condition of the road provided heavy machines to widen and clear the village road.
The Tadubi-Laii road connects most remote villages of Senapati bordering Nagaland.
Minister Losii Dikho stated that considering his own experience of travelling on the pathetic road, he decided to move in machinery on his own for improving connectivity as poor road will hamper any medical emergency situations especially during this pandemic.
Moreover, the villages need all-weather road to avoid any transport inconvenience during rainy seasons.
Minister Dikho on Thursday purchased three new ambulances to be delivered to Primary Health Centres of Mao, Paomata and Laii.
On the occasion, he said, "People cannot be denied good healthcare facilities and it is our collective responsibility to ensure we provide such facilities to face medical emergency especially during the current pandemic".
The minister also informed that his initiatives and deeds are not for public stunt or popularity but minimal contribution from his side for the welfare of the people.
