Folk music programme from June 22 to 26

To strengthen India-Myanmar relationship, Hero Foundation, Manipur and Mizzima Media Group, Myanmar is all set to organise a folk music programme from June 22 to 26 at JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal.
Speaking to media during a press meet held at the conference hall of Directorate of Art and Culture, this evening, Editor in Chief cum Managing Director of Mizzima Media Group, Soe Myint said that India and Myanmar shared many cultural and historical similarities.
After the opening of International gate at Moreh in August last, many initiatives have been taken up to maintain the good relationship between the two neighbouring countries, he said and added that the cuisines of Meitei, Naga, Kuki and other communities of the State have been introduced to the people of Myanmar by broadcasting on a TV channel.
The music programme which will be participated by many top performers from North East India will be recorded by a team from Myanmar so that the same can be broadcasted across Myanmar.
Soe Myint also expressed confidence that the programme will help promote good relation between the neighbouring countries.
