The Kuki chiefs' Association, Moreh Block strongly condemning alleged plan of the State Government for electing and implementing village authority governing system among the Kuki villages, described the move as an affront to the Kuki customary laws.
According to the Association's spokesperson Ls Selkhojang Baite, the Kuki chieftainship is hereditary and not elected or selected.
