Unity gathering

Imphal, June 14 2017:
A public gathering symbolising the unity among the various ethnic communities residing in the State was organised at Kwa-keithel bazar by AMUCO today.
Numerous Individuals belonging to different communities as well as former presidents of AMUCO took part in the gathering which began from 11 am to 1 pm.
Speaking to media persons at the gathering, AMUCO president and The Great June Uprising Unity Day Organising Committee chairman Ph Deban said that June 14 has been observed as Protest Day ever since the cease fire agreement was signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) on June 14, 2001 .
The day shows that different communities are living in the State in perfect unity and harmony and no force would be allowed to harm the territorial integrity of the State, he said and added that observance of the Protest Day is not targeted against any organisations or groups or communities.
Deban further appealed to the people to actively participate in the June 18 observation.
