Condemning the alleged indifferent attitude of the owner of a vehicle (Tata Winger bearing registration No MN-02A-3603) which reportedly is involved in a hit and run case on October 1 at Thingunggei (Tedim road), the Komrem Students' Union, Churachandpur district has warned of retaliatory measure if the vehicle owner fails to turn up for necessary negotiations with the victim's party immediately.
A statement issued by Laxman Kom, president of KRSU, CCpur district said M Hmunerthang Kom (44), a jawan of 28 AR, s/o (L) Rongba Kom of Khoirentak Khuman village, Ccpur district was hit by a Winger (MN-02A-3603) while he was riding a motorcycle (MN-01B-2750) at Thinunggei on October 1 .
The Winger run away from the spot while the victim was rushed to Bidhnupur District Hospital by a Pastor.
As the injured victim was in a serious condition, he was referred to Shija Hospitals, the statement maintained.
Despite the fact, the vehicle owner dared not to surrender to the victim or his family till date, the KRSU stated.
Calling the owner of the vehicle to surrender immediately for necessary negotiation and settlement of the matter, the KRSU warned of taking up its own course of action if the alleged offender fails to pay heed to the call, for which the responsibility would rest on the offender.
