Mass testing yields 121 positive cases

The third day of the 'aggressive mass testing drive' organised by District Administration of Imphal West led to detection of 121 positive cases out of 2399 people who had undergone Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on Thursday.
According to a report from the District Administration, around 2399 people were tested in 18 different places of the district on Thursday, including one area, the results for which were not declared on Wednesday.
From these tests, 121 people were confirmed as carriers of the virus.
As per the report, 112 people were tested at the community hall of Wangoi Makha Leikai, wherein one tested positive; 343 tested at Lambal Makha Leikai and 12 of them found positive; 244 at Lambal Awang Leikai and five confirmed as vector; 105 at Khurkhul Makha Leikai led to detection of 13 positive cases; 99 at Khonghampat Awang Leikai with one positive; 236 at Paona Bazar with 19 positive cases; 95 at Keishamthong Hodam Leirak and seven positive; 117 at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai and 13 positive cases; 202 at Khumbong and 13 positive; 188 at Khaidem with 10 positive; 90 at Kangmong with 16 positive; 126 at Toubungkhok Awang Leikai with 9 positive; two at TG Higher Secondary and one positive; and one positive case detected out of 29 people examined at Mayang Imphal on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 134 people were tested at Toubungkhok Ema Ningthileima Laibung, 98 at Toubungkhok Mayai Leikai, 7 at Airport and 172 at Uchiwa Hiden Achouba Lampak but no positive cases were detected.
The fourth round of the 15-day long aggressive mass testing organised by District Administration, Imphal West would be carried out on Friday at the community halls of Yumnam Huidrom Makha Leikai; Maklang Makha Leikai; Kanto Makha Leikai; Langjing Mamang Leikai; Langjing Chingmang; Yurembam Makha Leikai; Sagolband Nepra Menjor; Sangaithel; Lai Eshing Chaiba Nagamapal; Lairenjam Ibudhou Soraren Haraopham of Lairenjam Mayai Leikai; Bhairodan Maxwell School of Thangal Bazar; Tera Makhong community hall of Thangtek, and Uchiwa Hiden Achouba Lampak of Uchiwa Leirak Achouba, a notice by Imphal West DC Th Kirankumar has informed.
