Haolenphai Village Chief Lalkholun Haokip has conveyed that the said village was legally acquired in 1993 from the then Village King Mongching Moyonby his elder brother (L) Yamkholun Haokip while adding that he has the necessary documents to support his claim.
Speaking to the media persons, he has appealed not to interfere in the matter.
Conveying that two communities had tried to claim the said village, he appealed both the parties not to interfere in thematterandlet the villagers of Haolenphai village live a peaceful life.
Lalkholun Haokip drew the attention of the concerned authority to build a Police Outpost at Haolenphai Village bordering Myanmar to secure the boundary along Indo-Myanmar border following the intrusion by Myanmar Army in various occasion including the recent incident of entering Haolenphai village and reportedly asked the residents to halt the construction work of some houses.
