Lamka, February 16:
The State Blindness Control Society in association with the NPBC has conducted 10 successful cataract operations during a free eye camp at Muolvaiphei village in Churachandpur district.
With technical assistance from the Central Ophthalmic Unit, Imphal Dr Kh Kamani Babu and Dr Rajen Singh has operated upon 5 patients each at the Operation Theatre of Muolvaiphei Rural Health and Research Centre in between 12 to 16 February.
The youngest patient operated upon by the medical team was an 11 years old girl with complications on the cataract of her left eye following an injury.
Sources in the team have claimed that all the ten patients were discharge with satisfactory result.
