Committee stages sit in, warns

Observing that DPC results for other posts have been declared and even their contracts extended, Sericulture Inspector and Farm Overseer (SIFO), DPC faced Candidates Action Committee Manipur has staged a sit-in protest at the Complex of Sericulture Department at Sangaipat demanding the declaration of the results of the DPC for Sericulture Inspector and Farm Overseer today.
GA Bashuchandra Sharma, Secretary of the Action Committee maintained that the DPC for the recruitment of total 81 posts on 6 months contract basis of Sericulture Inspector, FO, System Engineer, Computer Encoder, Boiler Foremen, LDC, Driver, Storekeeper Peon, Electrician and Mechanic was conducted by the Sericulture Department from July 28 to 31, 2012.However, the results of the DPC for Sericulture Inspector (20 posts) and FO (23 posts) have not been declared yet when that of all other posts have been declared and their contract being exteneded once.
When the results of the important technical posts of Sericulture which will be the backbone of livelihood are not declared, it shows that there is no meaning of the existence of Sericulture, Sharma added.
He stressed that as the DPC results for the two posts have been kept undeclared for long so that some candidates exceeded the age bar.
"Therefore, the results should be declared within a month, otherwise violent agitations will follow", he warned.
