Ultra small branches opened

Imphal, December 14 2012:
Central Bank of India (CBI) today opened eight ultra small branches at different localities in Imphal East and Imphal West districts.
The branches were opened under the Financial Inclusion Plan of the Reserve Bank of India to provide banking services at the areas where there is no bank branch.
Senior Manager of CBI Zonal Office, Guwahati, Selloi inaugurated the branches one after another at Bashikhong Bazar, Kitna Pannung, Bamon Kampu, Kyamgei and Thongju of Imphal East district and Mayang Langjing, Lalambung and Khurkhul of Imphal West district.
The branches would serve the rural population in opening bank accounts for Job Card holders under MGNREGS and Old Age Pension Scheme.

Rural Mobile Commerce Service, Manipur In-Charge Pebam Basanta was also present in the inauguration of the branches.
Zilla Parishad Members, Pradhans, Ward Members of respective localities and Field Business Correspondents who are going to work at these areas also attended the inauguration programmes.
