Kuki Inpi seeks relief for flood victims

The Kuki Innpi, Jiri-tamenglong zone has demanded relief to people who have been affected by flood in Tousem sibdivision of Tamenglong district.
According to publicity secretary of Kuki Inpi, Lenlum Haokip, at least 43 houses of Lhangnom, Leisang, Tatbung, Raniveng and Moulzawl have been damaged by the spat of Jiri river.
He also appealed the civil administration of Tamenglong district to lend assistance to the villagers.
Meanwhile, 22 AR has provided rice and other essential commodities to displaced villagers.
Social Worker Pukhrambam Mani of Jiri has today distributed rice to flood victims' families under Dibong GP on humanitarian ground.
He also extended help to villagers of Champanagar, Islamabad and Ningthembam who have been displaced by the recent flood.
