To enable the BSF personnel comprehend religious practices, cultural ethics and sentiments of the local people better, BSF personnel
may be taught Manipuri language.
This was stated by BSF DIG Gopal Krishna Sharma at a free medical camp conducted at Heirok Part II Litan Makhong in Thoubal district today.
He stated that the BSF is here to maintain peace and ensure security people of the people.
The free medical camp launched last week has so far covered different places in Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Thoubal and Imphal
East districts.
The medical camp organised by the 88th Bn BSF was opened by the Commander of Koirengei sector Hqs DIG GK Sharma.
More than 50 people were examined during the medical camp today where free medicines were also provided to the needy patients.
Another medical camp was also organised by 140 Bn BSF at Kangvai village in CCpur district today.
