Lamka, August 19 2011:
In a move aimed at pressurising the State Govt to post adequate medical staff at the district hospital here and improve other essential facilities, Churachandpur District Students' Union (CDSU) and Joint Philanthropic Organisation (JPO) have given the Govt one month time to respond positively to their demands.
Considering the State Govt's inaction in addressing the plights and distresses of the district hospital, the concerned authority is requested to initiate prompt action to provide all the requirements including, adequate or sufficient MOs (specialists), technical and nontechnical staff, full fledged casualty and separate power supply within a month time, demanded a statement issued by CDSU and JPO today.
Signed by eight representatives, the statement said that their move is in pursuance of the resolutions adopted at a consultative meeting convened to discuss the plight and pathetic condition of the district hospital here.
The meeting held on 13 Aug endorsed and entrusted CDSU and JPO ZYA, YMA, KKL and HYA to pursue the matter as they deem fit.
