Deputy CM seeks public support

Deputy Chief Minister
Gaikhangam has appealed to
all sections of the society to
extend cooperation to
development projects
undertaken by the State
Government.
No disturbance should be
given to the development
works, Gaikhangam urged
while inaugurating a newly
constructed Church of Seventh
Day Adventist at
Gaithangzang village of
Tamenglong district yesterday.
Addressing the function,
the Deputy CM said
Tamenglong has developed
in several areas including
connectivity under various
projects of the Manipur
Government.
During the visit he instructed
company officials
and security personnel to prevent
any untoward incident
while taking up road development
works.
Gaikhangam also said the
development of Bishnupur-
Rengpang road would be
ready by March this year.
He
was inspecting the ongoing
project Zouzangtek-
Rengpang road construction
work.
He said blacktopping
of the 80-km long road
would be finished by the end
of the current year.
He said the bridge which
will connect Irang and
Leimatak should be built on
popular opinion of the local
residents and that it should
be constructed in a modern
style.
