Imphal, August 05 2018:
Shiv Sena State unit has questioned BJP's stand with regard to NPF's endorsement of NSCN-IM's demand for integration of Naga inhabited areas.
A meeting of NPF was held at Kohima on August 3 where the party's legislators from Manipur and Nagaland were present.
The meeting endorsed NSCN-IM's demand for integration of Naga inhabited areas which is also enshrined in the party's constitution.
Speaking to media persons at their Babupara office today, Shiv Sena State unit president M Tombi remarked that the incumbent coalition Government led by BJP is an unholy alliance.
People are doubtful about the coalition Government because they don't have a common minimum programme.
Questioning if the NPF's position on Naga integration is acceptable to BJP, Tombi asked what the coalition Government will do against their partner NPF in case the Government does not accept NPF's commitment to Naga integration.
Tombi urged all the legislators of the State to adopt a concrete decision on the demand of Naga integration at the special Assembly session scheduled on August 10.Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju told the Rajya Sabha there is no border dispute between India and Myanmar following the line of Revenue Minister Karam Shyam who stated that BP 81 has not moved from its right place, despite the outcry of local villagers, a number of CSOs and political parties that BP 81 has moved inside the territory of Manipur, Tombi decried.
He also condemned the Central Government's approach of resolving the Naga issue by disintegrating Manipur.
