Imphal, August 03 2021: Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) appealed to all authorities concerned to release the scholarship amount for MOBC, ST and SC at the earliest in view of the hardships faced by the students and their parents in the State due to COVID-19 pandemic.

AIMS in a press release stated that the Central Ministry concerned has already released the scholarship amount however the State Government has kept it on hold which is really unfortunate and not called for when everyone is going through a rough phase due to COVID-19 .

The student body maintained that the scholarship amount for second phase of OBC 2019-20 is pending and pre metric and post metric scholarship amount for OBC, SC and ST 2020-21 have not been released yet though the list have been issued already.

Stating the scholarship amount for many students are pending, AIMS urged the authorities concerned to release the said amount at the earliest to help in alleviating the problems faced by the students and parents who are dependent on such scholarships.
