6 of a family hospitalised in an apparent case of food poisoning

Imphal, September 29 2012:
Six members of a family from Nambol Kakyai Mamang Leikai, under Bishnupur district, have been admitted to Nambol Hospital last night in an apparent case of food poisoning.
The victims brought to the medical centre with symptoms of loose motion and vomiting have been identified as Ngangom Khomendro (53), Ng Dewan (27), Debala (23), Tarubi (19), Saranju (21) and Somorjit (15) .
The Ngangom family reportedly had mushroom dish for dinner yesterday and brought to the Hospital at around 10 pm.
The mushroom was bought from Wangoi Luxmi Bazar.
All the patients have been ruled out of danger.
Man succumbsL A person succumbed at RIMS hospital this morning.
Ngangom Rajen (60) of Keishamthong Maning Longjam Leikai suffered head injury in a brawl that happened at Nongchup Keithelmanbi under Patsoi PS on September 8.He was treated subsequently at RIMS and Raj Polyclinic.
Again he was treated at RIMS where he succumbed this morning.
One Maibam Momocha (38) of Nongchup Keithelmanbi, who was said to be involved in the fight, was taken into custody by the police.
