Stick by Naga issues : TNL to Tangkhul MLAs

The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) president V Weapon Zimik has urged all the electedTangkhul Naga MLAs from Ukhrul and Kamjong districts not to compromise with the core Nagas issues and adhere to the political aspirations of the Nagas while extending support in the formation of the BJP led coalition Government in Manipur.
The TNL reminded all the elected Tangkhul Naga MLAs to safeguard and stand for the interest of the Nagas' political issues and uphold the Naga's political aspirations for self determination.
In a statement TNL said, support to the coalition Government on the basis of the Naga issues and interests.
The Govt should be told to roll back the decision of creating the 7 new districts and this must be included in the common minimum programme of the coalition Government.
The Nagas strongly oppose the slicing of Naga areas by the then Ibobi led Govt, said TNL and added that the Nagas were not consulted before the districts were created.
The TNL cautioned the elected Tangkhul MLAs not to extend any support to the Government if it has any motive to sabotage/derail the ongoing Indo- Naga peace talk.
They further appealed for cordial relationship between all communities.
