Free special coaching classes

A two-month free special coaching classes organised by All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has begun today at St Anthony School, Machi village, Chandel district today.
Classes IX and X students of St Anthony School and Maring Naga Baptist Association (MNBA) English School are attending the coaching classes.
The inauguration programme was also attended by AMSU general secretary Manjit Sarangthem, Machi Youth Block Society president K Moshingwar Maring, MNBA English School Headmaster Meran Maring, AMSU assistant secretary D Motang Maring and Fr Aloysius Pao.
Manjit Sarangthem said that the free special coaching classes will help the students to acquire knowledge and excel academically.
He added that importance should be given to improve the education sector in hill areas and this coaching classes will certainly benefit the students.
Fr Aloysius Pao also lauded the initiative of AMSU and urged the students to avail the facility.
Dhanjoi, teacher of St Anthony School, said that the State Government and the authority concerned have failed to improve the Government school in Machi.
As such, parents prefer to send their children to private schools.
Emphasis should be given to the Government schools by the authority concerned so as to widen the opportunity to learn.
