Manipur Young Mind Association, Delhi, Fight Ur Note Alone, Delhi Association of Manipur Muslim Students and All Manipur Thanga People's Welfare Association, Delhi submitted memoranda to President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union State Minister of Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju regarding the July 23, 2009 Khwairamband bazar incident.
The memoranda said that the State Government must provide security to Thounaojam Herojit.
It further said that the Government must be held responsible if anything unwanted happens to Herojit before the end of July 23 Khwairamband bazar trial.
Stating that many fake encounters gave been happening in the State due to imposition of AFSPA, the bodies also demanded that the controversial Act be repealed.
The memoranda said that the State Government must provide adequate compensation to the families of Sanjit and Rabina soon.
An enquiry must be conducted against Imphal West SP Dr AK Jhalajit apart from terminating his service, the memoranda said.
All those involved in the death of Sanjit and Rabina must be given befitting punishment after the incident is thoroughly probed by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) .
The memoranda further said that the Chief Minister and the then DGP Manipur must clarify on the statement given by Th Herojit on the incident.
The State Government must also find out the killer of Rabina at the earliest, it added.
The four organisations are ready to launch agitation in association with various organisations of Delhi if the points mentioned in the memoranda are not translated into action at the earliest.
