Kangpokpi, January 18 2020:
Following an assurance from the DGP to book the culprit involved in the alleged hit and run case on January 15 evening along National Highway-2 in between Yaikongpao and Kalapahar, KSO Sadar Hills deferred its proposed total blockade scheduled to begin from 6 am of January 19 for another 48 hours along the National Highway-2 .
According to KSO Sadar Hills, the decision to defer its proposed agitation for another 48 hours was taken this afternoon, following a request from DGP to give the Police Department more times to find and book the culprit.
However, KSO Sadar Hills has cautioned that the blockade will launched from 6 am of January 21 if the culprit involved is not booked within the stipulated time.
It also said that the dead body will not be claimed unless the culprit is booked and delivered justice to the victim's family.
The meeting was held at DGP office chamber in Imphal.
