Imphal, April 02 2012: M/s Avantica has started construction of the stretch from Khongkhang to Moreh on National Highway-2 .

The firm has been given the work order for the construction of the section which stretches for more a over 30 kms as it offered lowest bid in the National tender announced by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, said an informed source.

The Rs 31 crore project is likely to be completed before the onset of rainy season, it added.

Saying that out of this 30 kms distance, condition of around 10 kms is abysmal, the source said that repairing of potholes at these areas has been completed.

The source added, although major works of material mobilization have also been completed, the work agency is however currently facing some hurdles in this regard.
