Ukhrul , July 20:
Denouncing in the sharpest tone organisations advocating/insisting on rampant donation, imposing fine, pushing of raffle tickets, calendar, badges etc, the Hunphun Katamnao Long (HKL/Ukhrul students Union) cautioned Ukhrul public to cross check such unwanted and un-warranted practices.
Terming such practices as Devils Operation penetrated amongst the human society, Godfreyson Zingkhai, President of HKL said that every responsible organisation should refrain from imposing involuntary donation from the public, slap fine without legal Act, selling of tickets for concert or charity shows, playing raffles, selling calendar, sovenier etc without prior acknowledgement of HKL under its jurisdiction failing which the matter would be dealt with seriously.
During a media briefing at HKL office the President and executive councils stated that such imposition had become norms and very much in vogue in the society and reminded that these activities only compromises social stability creating confusion and chaos to the denizens.
Warning that continued practice of such activities would only plunge the society deeper into lawlessness, anarchy, chaos, confusion and all ills that one can associate with human society the student leaders further maintained that it respect every people based mandated organizations.
however, imposing their thoughts, agenda or judgement on others through mindless diktats will not be tolerated under any circumstances in our jurisdiction as in social and economic term it is necessary not to further polarize the society.
