Two more succumb, TPR rises to 5.7 pc

Compared to yesterday's positivity rate of 4.8 per cent, today's positivity rate has risen to 5.7 per cent as 194 people including one CAPF personnel were confirmed positive out of 3,428 samples tested today.
On the other hand, two more individuals belonging to Imphal West and Bishnupur succumbed to the pandemic during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1838 .
Both the victims had co-morbodities and one of them had 1st dose of Covid vaccine, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The 194 positive cases were detected at RIMS (9), JNIMS (9) and other testing centres (176), and the 193 civilians are residents of Imphal East (31), Imphal West (109), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (11), Kakching (5), Ukhrul (13), Churachandpur (8), Chandel (6), Senapati (1), Noney (1) and Kangpokpi (1) .
Except for Imphal West, all other districts logged positivity rate below 6 per cent but Imphal West recorded 8.1 per cent.
Following recovery, 136 COVID-19 positive persons were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (31), RIMS (3), JNIMS (9), CCCs (83) and CHICs (10) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,19,235 (general population 1,14,967 and Central security personnel 4,268) .
It includes 2,270 active cases (general population 2,206 and Central security personnel 64) and 1,15,127 recovered cases (general population 1,10,928 and Central security personnel 4,199) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 96.55 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1068 D-type oxygen cylinders and 281 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of the State.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 16,45,647 (1st dose 12,16,639 and 2nd dose 4,29,008) .
This includes 6658 doses administered on September 22.As enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, COVID-19 beds available at different health care centres are RIMS (general beds 184; ICU/HDU beds 22), JNIMS (general beds 48; ICU/HDU beds 8), CMC (general beds 30; ICU/HDU beds 6), Iboyaima Hospital (general beds 25; ICU/HDU beds 5), Jivan Hospital (general beds 20; ICU/HDU beds 5), Shija Hospital (general beds 52; ICU/HDU beds 37) and Raj Medicity (general beds 77; ICU/HDU beds 24) .
