COVID-19 claims 19 more to take death tally to 944
Double digit spike continues with 686 positives

Imphal, June 11 2021:
The death count continues in double digits with Manipur reporting 19 fatalities due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The daily infection surge too continues to be well above the 500 mark with 686 testing positive during the same period of time.
In a statement, the COVID-19 Common Control Room said that 19 deaths were reported from all over the State in the last 24 hours.
The deaths were reported from Imphal West (7), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (1) and Churachandpur (3).With the addition of 19 more deaths, the cumulative number of deaths now stands at 944 .
The deaths were reported from RIMS (3), JNIMS (3), Babina (1), Shija Hospital (5), Raj Medicity (2), Ukhrul District Hospital (1), Bishnupur District Hospital (1) and Churachandpur District Hospital (3) .
The number of new cases also continues to spike in triple digits with 686 and one Central security personnel more added to the total tally.
The 686 new cases from amongst the general population are from Imphal East (156), Imphal West (230), Thoubal (59), Bishnupur (58), Kakching (63), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (64), Chandel (4), Senapati (6), Tamenglong (2), Tengnoupal (9), Kangpokpi (11), Kamjong (1), Pherzawl (9), Jiribam (9) and Noney (4) .
Necessary precautionary measures are in place and contact tracings are in place in addition to declaring containment zones, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 58,768 (general population-55,000 and Central security personnel-3768) while the cumulative number of recovered cases has risen to 48,902 (general population-45,141 and Central security personnel-3761) .
At the moment, Manipur has a total of 8,922 (general population-8920 and Central security personnel-2) active cases.
The recovery rate stands at 83.21 percent.
In the last 24 hours 1105 persons were discharged including 464 from home isolation, RIMS (15), JNIMS (9) and 155 from other Covid Care centres.
The COVID-19 Control Room said that the total of 1105 recovered cases has been taken into account after reconciliation of figures received from IDSP Team, Home Isolation Team, Community Home Isolation Team and Hospitalisation Team which totalled 462 as on June 10, 2021 .
On the other hand, a total of 1622 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 541 B Type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the State.
Of the four air passengers who were tested at the airport on arrival, none were found positive in the last 24 hours.
