Imphal, August 01: A bomb hurled by unidentified armed persons exploded at the Thoubal Haokha Maning Leikai residence of Dr Lisham Ranjan, who is the medical officer of Chambers of Commerce Hospital, last night.

The incident occurred at around 11 pm.

Apart from some damages caused to the doors and windows of the house by bomb splinters, there is no report of any human casualty in the attack.

Though the identity of the individuals or the group responsible has not yet been able to established, a team police personnel from Thoubal Police Station today conducted spot verification and a case has been registered.
