Imphal, Aug 17: Taking a serious note of the bomb blast at ISKCON yesterday, the State Cabinet today dubbed the incident as an act of terrorism and added that it also conveys its condolences to the family members of the deceased persons and wishes speedy recovery of the injured persons.

The State Govt will provide ex-gratia to the next of kins of the deceased and provide financial assistance to the injured persons.

The Lok Sabha also condemned the incident in no uncertain terms after the matter was put forward by Inner Parliamentary MP Dr T Meinya today.

Informing the House of the incident in which four persons were killed while scores were injured, the MP said that the House should condemn the incident.

Meinya's statement was supported by Dr Arun Sharma, MP from Assam, Tapir Gao, MP from Arunachal Pradesh and Chandrakant Khare from Maharastra.

Later, the Speaker said, "Yes they should be condemned." FPM MLA I Hemochandra reacted strongly to the incident and said that it was a beastly act and a crime against humanity.

The MLA added that civil society organisations should lead the way in condemning such incident.
