Imphal, Aug 18: To protest the bomb attack at Mani Mandir of ISKCON, where Janmasthami was being celebrated in the evening of August 16, which killed five people and wounded several, a mass peace rally would be taken out on August 23.The rally will commence from ISKCON at 8 am and pass through all the important areas of Imphal after which the rallyists will submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister.

The decision to stage the protest march was arrived at during a public meeting held at the cite of the bomb blast today.

The meeting attended by a large number of people and representatives of various civil organisations formed the All Manipur JAC for Prevention of Terrorist Activities and elected two convenors and two co-convenors besides appointing six other executive members for organising the mass peace rally successfully.

The proceedings of the public meeting was carried out with president of All Manipur Women Social Reformation and Development Samaj Keisham Taruni Devi and Lourembam Bheigo Singh as chief guest and president respectively.
