Imphal, Aug 21: Condemnations over the bomb attack at Mani Mandir of ISKCON on the night of August 16 which killed five persons and wounded several others continue to pour in on the night of August 16 which killed five persons and wounded several others continue to be poured in from various quarters terming such violent attacks at religious place as an act of terrorism.

In condemnation of the bomb attack, Kwairamband Nupi Keithel Semgat Sagatpa Marup, Khwairamband Keithel Sinpham Amadi Saktam Kanba Lup and Kwairamband Bazar Stall Association would cease work for a day and took part in the mass peace rally to be taken out on August 23.A joint meeting of Shree Shree Gopinath Temple Board and Maharaj Narsingh Memorial Committee held at Nongmeibung today with RK Modhuchandra and RK Bidursana as presidium members strongly condemned the incident and appealed to all concerned to ensure such incident do not recur in public.

While observing two minutes silence as mark of respect to the departed souls and praying speedy recovery of the injured persons, the meeting also shared the grief of the bereaved families.

Condemning the August 16 bomb blast at ISKCON and taking serious note over escalating violent incident and killing of innocent people in Manipur, Kangla Apunba Ima Yaipha Lup has announced that it would observed August 16 every year as Terrorist-singee Maiyokta Leppa Numit.

Mothers' Welfare Association (Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai Maning) and Ireima Seva Assn (Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai) have also strongly condemned the incident and prayed for peaceful repose of the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured persons.

Other social organisations which have strongly condemned the incident include Kuki Mothers' Association, Manipur; Academy of Martial Arts and Cultural Organisation, Manipur; Ever Living Youth Sporting Agency, Thoubal Phouden; Old Cachar Road (Tongjei Maril) Chingmee-Tammee Development Committee, Bishnupur; Service Education for Welfare Action (SEWA), Manipur; Ima Keithel Auto Owners and Drivers' Union, Kongba Bazar; Loyalam Apunba Nupi Lup, Khumbong Bazar; Samurou Nupi Chaokhat Thoudang Lup, Imphal West; Oriental Leveller Association, WangkheiKongba; Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (Assam, Manipur and North East States); Rural Service Agency, Palace Compound; Nilamani English School, Heingang United Clubs' Organisation; St Joseph's School, etc.
