Imphal, July 18: In protest against the July 16 night firing attack by unidentified gunmen at the Nongmeibung Pung Makhong residence of Langpoklakpam Gunamani who is the Assistant Engineer of LDA, the staff of the LDA today staged a Wakat Meepham at Keishampat Juncture here.

Placards with slogans like 'Don't target LDA staff', 'Don't interference in developmental works of Loktak', 'Everyone should take responsibility for saving Loktak', 'We condemn gun culture', etc were seen being used during the protest demonstration held from 10 am to 5 pm.
