Air India puts Imphal Airport in Lamka

Imphal, July 02 2023: In a disturbing development amid the crisis situation in the state, Air India printed the address of Air India, Airport Ticketing Office (ATO), Imphal International Airport as Lamka in the flight itinerary of a passenger.

Source said that the passenger bought ticket for a flight from Imphal to Guwahati for July 12 from the ticketing counter of Air India at Imphal International Airport on Sunday.

However, the issuing office gave his flight itinerary with the address of Imphal International Airport as Lamka.

The passenger raised the issue with the officials in the counter, to which they claimed of experiencing the glitch since the past few days.

Since then, the address of Air India ATO has been printed as "Imphal Airport, Lamka", the officials explained.

They have also raised the issue with the higher authorities but there is no response till date.

Whether it is a system glitch or result of hacking remains unknown.

Mention may be made that an ITLF leader, during a protest meet held in New Delhi a few days back, made a clarion call to take over control of Airport and all the administrative institutions.
