NABARD extends all possible assistance to SHG entrepreneur- Dr Srinivasa Rao

Imphal, September 29 2020: A 15 days Livelihood Entrepreneur Development Program begins today at the conference Hall of PDS New Checkon Imphal East in connection with the inauguration of a Rural Mart constructed by the Peoples's Development Society under the financial assistance of NABARD.

Speaking on the occasion General Manager of NABARD Dr M Srinivasa Rao said that NABARD has been promoting and extending all possible assistant to the Shelf help groups (SHG) to empower them economic freedom.

He said that NABRAD encourages members of the SHGs which are providing training to the women community to generate income.

The Rural Mart is being opened to give marketing support to the handloom artisan of the state, he said and added that products of the artisans can be marketed at the newly inaugurated mart.

He further added that the NABARD has been financing the LEDP.

Here women are being provided training.

The training programme begin today will enhance tailoring skill to women for production of school uniform and there are already 3 LEDP opened.

Designing and cutting machine are available at the center and those participating the training will be finance by the Manipur Rural Bank for procurement of machines as well as working capital.

These will boost the financial condition of the entrepreneurs Dr M Srinivasa Rao said.

Secretary of the PDS Th Biramangol, Chairman of the the Manipur Rural Bank Samrendu Samal, state Mission Director of MSRLM Imphal East N Basanta and DDM of NABARD Imphal East I Premjoy were also attended on the occasion.
