KHSS, KPS emerge champions in Kakching Subroto Cup Football Tournament

Imphal, May 17 2024: Kakching Hr Sec School U-17 boys and Kakching Public School U-15 boys emerged champions in the 63rd Kakching District Subroto Cup Football Tournament.

Th Debaraj scored a brace to help Kakching Hr Sec School beat PR English School 2-0 in the U-17 boys' final match played at Keirak playground, Kakching on Friday.

Debaraj opened the scoring in the 14th minute before he collected his second goal in the 16th minute as his team held on to clinch the title.

In the U-15 boys' final, Kakching Public School out-scored PR English School via penalty shootout.

After a 0-0 stalemate, the game went into spot kicks where Kakching Public School ground out a 5-4 success against their opponents.

Jamesbond, Beker, Amiscar, Arbinson and Srinivash converted from the spot for their championship crown.
