Kh Ronel settles for bronze at Dwijing XCM

Imphal, January 10 2020:
Khundrakpam Ronel Singh of Manipur has claimed a bronze medal at the 2nd edition of Dwijing XCM (Cross Country Marathon MTB Cycle Race) which was held on January 5 last at Chirang district in Assam.
Ronel, son of Kh Nabachandra Singh of Ningthoukhong Ward No 7, grabbed the bronze medal in the elite category of the event organised by Spokehub Racing and Pedal for a Change with support from Assam Tourism Development Corporation, said a press release of Manipur Adventure and Mountain Bikers Association (MAAMBA).
Ronel, a college student had earlier participated in two National championships namely MTB National Championship, Pune in 2018 and MTB National Championship XCO, Kerala, 2019 which was the first ICU linked competition in India and participated by elite international cyclists.
Ronel also had a gold medal in his name at the XCO event of the North East Sports Meet organised by Niathu Group at Dimapur in 2019, the release continued.
He is receiving regular training under the care of RK Sheityajit and Phuritshabam Dennis Singh of MAAMBA, it added.
