Cricket: KCC beat PTCC by 23 runs in Superplate Tournament

KCC (Kongba Bazar) scored a 23-run victory over PTCC (Patsoi) in Thursday's action of the MNCA Superplate Tournament at Model Hr Sec & Oriental College Ground here on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, KCC garnered 146/5 in the stipulated 40 overs.
Nongmaithem Dijaraj emerged as the highest run-getter in the innings, scoring 55 from 114 balls.
Loktongbam Ozzy was unbeaten on 25/39, Yumnam Sheiteendra made 15/12 and Kongbrailatpam Sanjit Sharma contributed 11/24.In the process, the Kongpal Bazar side lost two wickets to Dominic Moirangthem and one each to Sohail Akram, Naorem Victor Meitei and Sadananda Okram.
Chasing a low total, PTCC were in trouble from the start as they lost their first three wickets for 21 runs before Yambem Kaikuyamba, who hit 38 off 59 balls, gave his side some respite.
But soon after his dismissal, the Patsoi side lost their remaining wickets for 55 to be all out for 123.KCC's bowlers took 35.1 overs to wipe out PTCC's batting order.
Both Loktongbam Ozzy and Konbraillakpam Sanjit Sharma finished with three wickets each, Yumnam Sheiteendra bagged two wickets and Chumthao Dk took one to help their team seal a 23-run win.
Loktongbam Ozzy, who claimed three wickets and scored an unbeaten 25, earned the man-of-the-match trophy.
