Veteran cricket: Cyclone in final

Imphal, February 21 2015 :
Cyclone dominated with both bat and ball to defeat IWVCC by 8 wickets in the first semifinal of the Twenty 20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament on Saturday.
Despite a quick fire 39 (23 balls) from Boby and a steady knock from Bimol (31 off 48), IWVCC had to be content with a below par total of 112 for 9 in the allotted 20 overs.
Among Cyclone bowlers, Rajesh inflicted the most damage with a rich haul of four wickets.
Binoy scalped two wickets while Abungcha and Sachikumar chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Cyclone run chase progressed merrily riding on commanding knocks from Ingenjao (43 off 40 balls) and Thoithoi (41 off 42) and notched up the win with three overs and eight wickets remaining.
Bimol (1) was the only successful bowler for IWVCC.
Cyclone now waits the winner of the Model Club (A) and NAPSA tie on Sunday for the title clash.
Rajesh was adjudged the man of the match.
