SHADOW, PTCC win in U-19 women's cricket

Imphal, April 22 2024:
SHADOW, Thangmeiband and PTCC, Patsoi scripted victories over their respective opponents in the 2nd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy 2023-24 on Monday.
In a low scoring match at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband, SHADOW beat PCC, Mayaikoibi by 25 runs riding on captain Priyanshee Hanglem's five wickets.
Chasing SHADOW'S 121 all out in 26.5 overs, no PCC batters, barring Yensembam Nikita Chanu (20 runs), reached double digit run as the team folded up for 96 in 26.4 overs.
The other wicket takers for SHADOW were Rajkumari Valentina Devi (2), Kebriya Devi Sapam and Yambem Joshua.
Earlier, Kebriya Devi Sapam (33) and Priyanshee Hanglem (15) helped SHADOW reach 121, as Yensembam Nikita Chanu (4 wickets) led PCC bowling attack.
On the other hand, Laishram Teresa (174) and Lourembam Prena Devi (115) starred in PTCC's 364 run victory over PTRC, Patsoi at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak after their outstanding batting prowess guided the team to 380/2 in 35 overs.
Faced with the daunting task, six PTRC batters failed to open their account with the team eventually bundled out for a miserly 34 in 21.5 overs.
For PTCC, captain Konsam Sayatombi Devi, Sanaloo Devi Takhelmayum, Linthoingambi Chanu Laishram and Angoubi Devi Khundrakpam took two wickets each and Niruka bagged one wicket.
