Thang-Ta team to leave Delhi for South Korea

Imphal, August 25 2014:
A Thang-Ta team comprising 15 members from all over the country would be leaving Delhi for South Korea tomorrow to participate in the 2014 Chungzu World Martial Arts Festival, scheduled to begin from 28th September, 2014 at Chungzu Chungcheongbak, South Korea.
The 2nd International Thang-Ta Championship 2014 will also be held during the festival.
The India team was led by Huidrom Premkumar Singh, president of Thang-Ta Federation of India.
It may be mentioned that including 1 instructor, 10 members from Jammu and Kashmir, 1 player and 1 instructor from Maharashtra and 3 members from Manipur would be taking part in the 5-day long festival.
Name of the participating players and officials are, Huidrom Premkumar Singh, president Nameirakpam Jiban Singh, coach, Mohd Iqbal, manager, Dhuldhar Mahavir, Ayjaz Ahmad Bhat, Pukhrambam Hepari Meitei, Ganaie Fairoze Ahmad, Suhail Ahmad, Sumiya Saif, Faisal Noor, Maleeha Ahad, Zakariya Yaseen Bhat, Sheikh Sibat Farooq, Ubaid Lateef Budoo and Panchariya Tanmay Omkar.
Various martial art forms by players from different corners of the world will also be demonstrated during the festival.
