Imphal, January 30 2010: After winning their respective semi final matches today, ARC, Shillong and SSB, Guwahati entered the final of the ongoing 12th Dr Kanti Mukherjee Memorial Invitation Hockey Tournament, 2010 organised by the Manipur Hockey Association.

The first semi final match was played between ARC, Shillong and Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC).

ARC won the match by golden goal and entered final.

The normal time concluded draw with scores 2-2.Both teams displayed a real tough fight against one another throughout the match.

ARC first lead the match with a goal of Lalthazuala in the 8th minute of the match.

MPSC soon equalised the score in the 10th minute with a goal of M Premchand.

The second goal of MPSC was scored by P Adeva in the 26th minute while Th Bauty scored the second goal of ARC.

In the extra time, Lalhraitlunga scored the golden goal in the 71st minute and won the match.

SSB, Guwahati won the second semi final match by defeating UYAC, Kongba Uchekon 3-0 and entered final to fight ARC.

SSB dominated the match right from the beginning.

Ch Sarjib, Kishore Lakra and Yashin scored the three goals of SSB in the 25th, 48th and 65th minutes of the match.

On the other hand no players of UYAC could scored a single goal against SSB.

The final match will be played on January 31 next at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium, Imphal.
