YOSC boys, girls secure Sub-junior basketball titles

Imphal, September 06 2024: YOSC boys and girls clinched titles at the 37th Sub-Junior State Basketball Championship 2024 on Friday.

In the boys' final, YOSC overcame a stiff challenge from Model Club, carving out a 48-40 victory to get their hands on the championship trophy.

The opening quarter saw YOSC take a 14-9 lead but stumble 9-12 in the second period.

They bounced back with a 10-6 performance in the third quarter and went on to capture the final qu arter 15-13 for their deserved title.

The YOSC girls, on the other hand, faced littl e resistance in their summit clash as they eased to a 36-9 triumph over RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya.

YOSC took the first quarter 18-0 and maintained control throughout with scores of 6-4, 8-2 and 4-3 in the subsequent quarters to win the girls' competition.
