Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : Blue Hawk go down to TCMDC; ESU beat PTCC by 7 wickets

Imphal, February 03 2022: TCMDC, Thongju beat Blue Hawk, Khurai by 6 wickets while ESU, Wangkhei beat PTCC, Patsoi by 7 wickets in the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-16 Boy's Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy7, 2021-22 .

Winning the toss and opting to field first, TCMDC limited Blue Hawk to 139 runs for 10 wickets in 26.1 overs.

Vishonath Laishram of TCMDC took a 5 wickets haul in 6 overs and gave 51 runs.

Setting a target of 140, TCMDC's batting line-up suffered a setback early on as Thongam Malemnganba, Doneal Laishram and Takhellambam Nganba fell victim to Blue Hawk bowler's attack.

Sagolsem Rohesh was run-out by Spolar Moirangthem.

Rain Urikhimbam added 54 runs in the board and finished off the game in style with a boundary to struck a 143 in the score board aided by 65 extras from the Blue Hawk's bowlers.

Vishonath Laishram of TCMDC was adjudged the man of the match.

While in another match played between ESU and PTCC, ESU won the toss and chose to field first.

PTCC tallied a total of 118 runs in 30 overs with a fall of 8 wickets.

ESU scored 122 in 27.1 overs with 7 wickets remaining to seal the win.

Hanjabam Donba Sharma of ESU won man of the match.
