22nd Governor's Cup State Level Fencing C'ship : A Henthoisana wins Cadet Boys' Foil event gold

Imphal, July 31 2026: A Henthoisana of Imphal East sealed the Cadet Boys' Foil event gold medal on Day 3 of the 22nd Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship being underway at YAS Fencing Hall, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

At the end of Day 3 Imphal East enjoyed a commanding lead of 160 points off 20 gold, 12 silver and 24 bronze medals at the top of the 8-district team tally as Imphal West followed second with 23 points off 2 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

A Henthoisana was too good for T Tamyanba of Imphal West in the final today as L Cityboy of Bishnupur and K Lamyanba of Imphal East shared the bronze medal podium.

T Kadamba also extended Imphal East's gold medal tally by defeating P Arjun of Kakching in the Cadet Boys' Epee final.

L Deepu of Ukhrul and Chidananda of Kakching were the bronze medallists in the event.

Rashina N of Imphal West on the other hand sealed the Cadet Girls' Foil event gold medal by getting better of Ch Jerina of Imphal East in the final.

Imphal East fencers Ch Puspa and Ng Merina shared the bronze medal podium in this competition.

Piyanganbi of Imphal East was the Cadet Girls' Epee gold medallist as she subdued Imphal West's Y Minerva in the final as Chandel pair of H Bhumika and Yaiphabi finished with the bronze medals.

Th Kishorjit of Imphal East meanwhile fetched the Junior Boys' Sabre gold medal by defeating N Lanchenba of Chandel in the final as K Jeriyul of Ukhrul and L Bomcha of Chandel settled for the bronze medals.

P Babydaina of Imphal East was also seen securing the Junior Girls' Sabre gold medal by getting better of Th Somika of Senapati in the final.

A Florin of Imphal East and H Nirupama of Senapati shared the bronze medal podium in this category.
