MU Inter College Men's Football: Nambol L Sanoi College, Biramangol College, Regional College advance to last-16 round

Imphal, October 23 2024: Nambol L Sanoi College, Biramangol College and Regional College advanced to last-16 round stage of the A Pratap Memorial Manipur University Inter College Men's Football Tournament 2024-25 as Mangolnganbi College registered a first round win at Kha Manipur College playground.

In the third match of the tournament participated by 34 teams, Mangolnganbi College thrashed Manipur College by 3-0 goals to set up a Round of 32-clash with Imphal College.

M Saterjit (15') and H Rooney (30+1') scored to give Mangolnganbi College a 2-0 first half lead in this one-sided encounter as Y Shitaljit scored the decisive goal in the 56th minute.

Later in the second match of the day, Nambol L Sanoi College notched up a comprehensive 9-0 win over UNACCO College thanks to a treble from M Rahul (28', 44', 51') .

Th Robinson (26', 52') also netted twice in the team's big win as Seram Sekho (9'), A Santosh (37') and Th James (48') contributed a goal apiece.

The other goal came in the form of an own goal by Y Bushan of UNACCO College in the 38th minute.

In the third match of the day, Y Jackson scored a hattrick to guide Biramangol College to a 8-1 win over MIT.

Y Jackson opened the scoring in the 5th minute before scoring two successive goals in the 12th and the 16th minutes to complete his hattrick and hand Biramangol College a 3-0 first half lead.

After the restart W Abinash (36'), L Meiraba (46'), Md Jakir Khan (58') and L Dhananjoy (60') all found a goal apiece for the winning side as Th Ting scored the lone goal for MIT off a penalty in the 39th minute.

Later in the 6th match of the tournament and today's fourth, Indrajit (7', 15', 32'), A Naoba (23', 45') and M Ruskim (30+2', 58') ran riot to give Regional College a commanding 7-0 win over NIELIT.
