SANULAL extends solidarity

Imphal, October 21 2026: A team of Salai Apunba Nupi Lamjing Lup (SANULAL) led by its president Ima Ibethoi visited the houses of the three persons killed in the Sunurok Uyok Ching firing incident.

The deceased have been identified as Arubam Ronil (35) and Kshetrimayum Sushil (32) of Nongshum Mayai Leikai and Lairenlakpam Inaobi (57) of Nongshum Awang Leikai.

They were killed after armed miscreants opened fire on villagers who had gone to collect firewood at Sunurok Uyok Ching on October 19, 2026 .

The team shared the grief of the bereaved families.

Ima Ibethoi provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000 each to the families.

She assured them that SANULAL will join all agitations against such terrorist acts and will try its best to ensure justice for the families.

She also appealed to all CSOs of the land to come together to protect people's lives.

On the other hand, as part of the JAC's agitation for the deceased, members of SANULAL distributed rice and monetary assistance collected through Ima Panthoibi's Erat Thouni to the people who had blocked the road.

SANULAL thanked the JAC and the public for supporting its march and opening the road.
