Imphal, August 31: SAI RC wrested the overall team title of the 13th State Level Wushu Championships 2008 which concluded at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium with a competition haul of 28 gold, 14 silver and two bronze medals.

CWI, Nahabam bagged 13 gold, 12 silver and seven bronze to secure the runners-up position of the championship participated by 223 players from eight units.

DWA, Bishnupur pipped DWA, Thoubal to the third spot on nine gold, six silver and same number of bronze which was two gold more than the Thoubal contingent.

AIW, yairipok (7G/6S/4B), IEDWA (4G/8S/6B), IWDWA (3G/4B) and MPSC (1G/6S/2B) respectively finished 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th.closing ceremony of the three day championship organised by Wushu Association of Manipur was held this evening with former Lok Sabha MP Th Chaoba Singh and director SAI (NERC) L Tiken Singh as the chief guest and president respectively.
