AR organises football match at Shangsak

Imphal, March 21 2010: In continuation to the 175th Raising Day anniversary of Assam Riles Celebrations, 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) organized a friendly football match at Battalion Headquarters Shangshak on March 20 last.

The match was played between Shangshak Khullen village team and the Battalion football team.

In a keenly contested match witnessed by large number of villagers and the troops of Assam Rifles, the village team won the match by 3-2 .

After the match an interaction programmes was also organised with the villagers and gifts were presented to the village team.

Villagers appreciated the initiative taken up by Assam Rifles and expressed their desire to participate in such events in future also.
