Chandel District Subroto Mukerjee Football Tourneys : MUGHSS reach U-17 boys final, stage set for U-15 boys final

Maha Union Government Higher Secondary School (MUGHSS) cruised into U-17 Boys final of the Chandel District Level Inter School Subroto Mukeijee Football Tournaments organisedby the District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, Chandel at Chandel Christian Sports Complex.
In the only Pool A match of the 5-team tournament, Anallon Christian Institute (ACI) and MUGHSS played out a 1-1 draw in the regulation time before the game was decided by penalty shoot-out where MUGHSS emerged 4-2 winners.
ACI went ahead after 31st minute through Th Bungwar before Konitha Seltun drew level 8 minutes later to stretch the game to a penalty shootout.
In the shoot-out, Milan Thumli, Konitha Seltun and Shelny Tesong all found the target to earn MUGHSS the final ticket as only Khumringjoy was able to convert for ACI.
Later in a Pool B clash, St Peter's Hr Secondary School edged out Koinonia Training School by 3-2 goals to set up a semi-final date tomorrow with Oriental Academy who got a first round bye.
Thesong Federer (T), NL Arjuhring (27') and Khrii Wilson (41') were on target for the winners as BD Lungthangam (10') and Tongsin Wintha (60') found the target for Koincnia Training School.
In the meantime, the final line up of the The U-15 boys tournament was completed today with Oak Hill High School and St Paul's High School making it to the final.
Oak Hill High School reached the final with a 3-0 thrashing of Koinonia Training Schoool.
Angam did the star turn, scoring twice in the match (13', 37') as Chan added one (17') .
In the other semi-final match, St Peter's HSS and St Paul's High School played out a 1-1 regulation time draw before St Paul's High School came out 5-4 winners on penalties to seal the game 6-4 .
After a goalless first half, St Paul's HS had taken a slender 1-0 lead with Lungir finding the target but St Peter's HSS fought back with Kophadeen scoring the equaliser in the 61st minute.
As the two sides remained on level terms at the end of the regulation time, the winners were decided by penaly shoot-out wherein Bishwoijit, Abraham, Rengwarngam, Richard and Lungir found the target for the winners and Chennaingam, Manosh and Mark scored for St Peter's HSS .
