Imphal, September 16 2026: CRPF's sporting drive under SPANDAN initiative continued across Manipur with the aim of fostering community development and bringing peace and harmony in the State.

At SAI Sports Complex, 143 Bn CRPF hosted Cricket and Kabaddi Tournament.

Mangalleima defeated Hurricane by 55 runs to seal the cricket title as VETO beat AMDASCAM for the kabaddi title.

KYC secured third place title in cricket as SLYO, Tekcham sealed the third place title for Kabaddi.

Podium finishers were feted with cash prizes in the presence of Laishram Sarita, SP Sports and Th Motilal, secretary, Manipur State Kabaddi Association as dignitaries.

At Group Centre CRPF, Langjing, Range Hqr Imphal organised a women's open Archery Tournament for two events- Recurve and Compound.

Yumnam Sanamanbi Chanu, Jenifer Paonam, and Thohrei Sanai made podium finishes in the recurve event as Ksh Manglemsana, Paonam Lily and Naorem Roshini secured the top three places.

Ex Comdt, N Kunjarani, other CRPF officials attended the felicitation programme of the competition.

At Yaikongpao village, 112 Bn CRPF organised a men's kabaddi tournament and saw Lower Thanamba team beat Yaikongpao team for the top honour as Mahika team finished third.

At Makui village, A/67 Bn CRPF organised a 10 km marathon.

Gospel Chawangting-duimai (36:12), Chunchambou Wijunamai (38:26) and Robert Nikhanamai (39:51) made the podium finishes in the run.

They were also feted with cash rewards.

At Matijang village, the 2-day volleyball tournament organised by Ops Range Churachandpur came to a close.

In the tournament participated by 16 teams, Lhanomjang, Molphei Tampak and UFC team made podium finishes in this tournament.
